Our Journey
The Moon & Laurel was born from friendship, shared intention, and a deep desire to create something meaningful together. What began as three close friends dreaming around kitchen tables and sacred spaces evolved into a collective vision: a place where community, creativity, and holistic well-being could truly meet. A longing for a space that feels both grounding and expansive.
Each of us arrived with our own gifts and paths — Latoya through the grounding and restorative practice of therapeutic sound and forest bathing, Brittany through embodied movement and yoga, and Candace through intuitive art and tarot. As our individual journeys unfolded, it became clear that these modalities were not meant to stand alone. Together, they form a supportive ecosystem — one that honors the whole person: body, mind, heart, and spirit while inviting reflection, embodiment, and self-remembrance.
The Moon & Laurel is the weaving of these paths into one shared offering — a retreat where connection is cultivated, growth is supported, and people are invited to return home to themselves.

Our Mission
Our mission is simple yet profound: to support people in reconnecting to themselves and each other. To cultivate a collective community rooted in well-being, self-discovery, and empowerment. Through accessible holistic modalities, we support individuals in developing deeper awareness, resilience, and self-trust.
Our Vision
We envision a world where well-being is communal and growth is supported. Where individuals feel seen and empowered to explore their own inner wisdom and landscape—using movement, ritual, creativity, and intuitive practices as tools for growth and healing.
Our Ethos
Our ethos is grounded in inclusivity, authenticity, and reverence for personal journey. We believe that healing is not one-size-fits-all, that wisdom lives within each individual, and that when people are given safe, nurturing spaces to explore themselves, transformation naturally follows. The Moon & Laurel exists as both sanctuary and seed — a place where transformation is gently nurtured. We honor curiosity over perfection, connection over hierarchy, and empowerment over dependency.
The Collective
The Moon & Laurel is held not just by three friends, but three paths, and a shared devotion to holistic well-being and meaningful connection. Each member of our collective brings a unique modality and perspective, woven together by a common belief: that healing and growth are most powerful when they are experiential, accessible, and rooted in community.
Rather than operating in isolation, we honor the way our practices inform and support one another—movement, ritual, creativity, sound, and nature working together to create spaces where individuals can explore, regulate, and reconnect with themselves. Meet the women behind The Moon & Laurel and the offerings we share within the collective.

Brittany
Certified Yoga Instructor
I'm Brittany, I am a 200-hour certified yoga teacher with a deep passion for creating grounded, nurturing spaces where people can reconnect with themselves. My teaching is rooted in mindfulness, gentle strength, and nervous-system support, offering practices that feel accessible, intentional, and embodied.
I am drawn to holistic retreat environments because they allow yoga to be more than a class—it becomes part of a larger healing experience. I value community, presence, and the subtle moments of transformation that happen when people are given permission to slow down and listen inward.
My intention as a teacher is to meet students where they are, honoring each body and each journey, while guiding practices that support rest, resilience, and self-trust.

I am an art instructor with a background in art and graphic design, and a deep passion for painting and crafting. My work is rooted in spirituality and holistic healing, blending creative expression with therapeutic practices that support emotional balance and nervous system regulation. I incorporate intuitive and spiritual elements into my teaching, including tarot, which I use as a reflective tool to guide others on their healing journeys. I believe art is a powerful, positive outlet for self-discovery, restoration, and personal transformation

Latoya
Certified Sound and Forest Bathing Practitioner
Hi! I'm Latoya. I'm a certified sound healing practitioner and Shinrin-Yoku (forest bathing) guide whose work is rooted in presence, attunement, and the wisdom of the natural world.
My approach and passion lies in creating spaces where the nervous system can soften, the body can feel safe, and people can return to their own inner knowing. Through sound journeys, vibrational therapy, and nature-based experiences, I support you in slowing down, reconnecting with your senses, and cultivating a felt sense of belonging—both within yourself and with others.
I believe that healing does not need to be complicated or removed from daily life. Instead, it is something we remember through rhythm, breath, vibration, and time spent in relationship with the land. Within The Moon & Laurel, I hold the role of grounding the collective’s offerings—anchoring experiences in regulation, embodiment, and reverence for natural cycles.
